Bullet for My Valentine's North American 2023 Tour: A Night at Franklin Music Hall

On October 15th, Philadelphia's Franklin Music Hall was set ablaze with the sounds of metal as Bullet for My Valentine took the stage. Fresh from their tour announcement three months prior, the band proved that they hadn't lost a step, delivering an energetic performance that sent fans into a frenzy. The opening song, "Knives", had crowd surfers airborne almost immediately.

Before the headliners commanded the stage, two exceptional openers set the pace. Vended, a newer name to some, boasts an interesting heritage: the lead vocalist is none other than Griffin Taylor, son of Slipknot's Corey Taylor, and the drums are masterfully handled by Simon Crahan, son of Slipknot's Clown. Their performance was raw, genuine, and gave a promising glimpse into the future of metal.

Of Mice & Men, returning after what felt like ages without live performances, blended the old with the new. They dipped into their rich catalog with classics like "Bloom" and "Second & Sebring." Yet, it was their fresh tracks from the recently released 'Tether', especially "Into the Sun", that truly stood out. Aaron Pauley, the band's lead vocalist, has mentioned that it's his favorite song from the album - and the live rendition demonstrated exactly why.

'Tether' dropped on October 6, giving fans a little over a week to familiarize themselves with the new anthems. The journey to its release saw the band teasing tracks, giving their fanbase a taste of what was to come.

If you missed this night at Franklin Music Hall, don't fret. Given the passion and intensity showcased, it's clear that Bullet for My Valentine and their chosen openers are only warming up.
